Day Training for Dogs in Seattle & San Diego
- LIMITED TIME TO TRAIN?
In Home Day Training Is For You
Need help training your dog but don’t have the time for daily practice? Our day training for dogs is the perfect solution. We bring professional, in-home dog training to you—working one-on-one with your pup while you’re at work, running errands, or just needing a break. It’s like a training daycare for dogs, with results you can see and a happier, more responsive dog you’ll love coming home to.
This service is designed to complement your existing training plan, providing extra support and focused training efforts to accelerate your dog’s progress without requiring additional time from you.
Day Training Sessions Customized to Your Dog’s Needs
Our day training sessions aren’t just about teaching commands—they’re about creating calm, confident, and well-mannered companions who thrive in your home and the world around them. A well-mannered dog is also a well enriched and exercised dog, so day training may include outings and enrichment; which provide both physical and mental enrichment for your dog to help training be successful.
These sessions are customized to you and your dog’s needs, but may include some of the following:
Go To Mat/Go To Place
This settling behavior teaches your dog to know an ‘off switch’ by teaching them to go to mat/place, lay down and stay there until given permission to be released. This can be helpful when having guests come to your home, when taking them to other peoples homes, or cafes or restaurants, or anytime you need them to be calm and remain in place.
Leash Reactivity
If your dog lunges or barks at other dogs or people, we help replace stress with self-regulation so walks become more peaceful for both of you.
Recall (Come When Called)
This could literally save your dog’s life. We teach them to come to you reliably, even with distractions around.
Leash Manners
No more being dragged down the street! Teaching your dog to walk calmly on a leash transforms walks into joy instead of a battle.
Basic Cues (Sit, Down, Stay)
Whether your dog is just learning these cues, or they need more fluency, we can help. It’s all about those 3 D’s of training: Duration, Distance and Distractions when teaching these behaviors
Polite Greetings
We help your dog master the art of polite greetings, turning overstimulation into impulse control.
60-minute session: $200
Why Busy Fur Parents Choose Day Training for Their Dogs
Hands-off support, real results
We do the hard work while you’re at the office, on calls, or managing a busy household. You come home to a dog who’s learning, progressing, and thriving.
Personalized training in and around your own home
Group classes or busy households can be too distracting when trying to develop foundations for training. This provides one-on-one training with less distractions, or more controlled distractions, to ensure success.
Trusted local expertise
We proudly serve families across the Seattle area (Bellevue, Redmond, Medina, Kirkland, and Mercer Island) and San Diego (Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, 4S Ranch, and Fairbanks Ranch)—bringing compassionate, science-based training right to your door.
Stay in the Know, Start with Confidence
Your dog may be training while you’re away, but you’re never out of the loop. We provide written weekly updates so you can track your pup’s progress, celebrate their wins, and feel confident in the results.
To kick things off, we’ll start with a one-time, 90-minute consultation ($250) to understand your dog’s behavior, your lifestyle, and your goals. From there, we’ll build a customized plan and share actionable tips you can use right away.
For best results, we recommend scheduling 2–3 day training sessions per week.
